NBU to inspect 7 banks for compliance with financial monitoring and currency legislation in 2025
In 2025, the National Bank plans to conduct on-site inspections of financial monitoring, compliance with currency and sanctions legislation of seven banks and nine institutions.
This is stated in the NBU's message, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
The National Bank will inspect the following banks:
– PJSC "MTB BANK" (EDRPOU 21650966), JSC "MIB" (EDRPOU 35810511) - in the 1st quarter;
- Joint-Stock Bank "Pivdennyi" (EDRPOU 20953647), JSC "Oschadbank" (EDRPOU 00032129), JSC "TASCOMBANK" (EDRPOU 09806443) - in the 2nd quarter;
– JSC "Raiffeisen Bank" (EDRPOU 14305909) - in the 3rd quarter;
– JSC "BANK AVANGARD" (EDRPOU 38690683) - in the 4th quarter.
In addition, the NBU will inspect the following institutions:
– LLC "UPR" (EDRPOU 37973023), PrJSC IC "PZU UKRAINE" (EDRPOU 20782312) - in the 1st quarter;
– LLC "FARD STANDARD" (EDRPOU 39373312) - in the 2nd quarter;
– LLC "FC "Kontraktovyi Dim" (EDRPOU 35442539), LLC "SWIFT GARANT" (EDRPOU 39859339), PrJSC "IC "VUSO" (EDRPOU 31650052) - in the 3rd quarter;
– LLC "FC MBK" (EDRPOU 37973945), LLC "I LOMBARD" (EDRPOU 44916262), LLC "1 SECURE AGENCY OF NECESSARY LOANS" (EDRPOU 39861924) - in the 4th quarter.
The plan of on-site inspections is drawn up on the basis of a risk-based approach, including taking into account the results of the risk assessment of the activities of banks and institutions.
The annual plan is published in accordance with the requirements of paragraph 13 of Section II of the Regulation on the procedure for organizing and implementing supervision in the field of financial monitoring, currency supervision, supervision in the field of implementation of special economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions), approved by the Resolution of the NBU Board of June 30, 2020 No. 90 (as amended by the Resolution of the NBU Board of April 4, 2024 No. 37) (as amended).
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the number of non-bank financial market participants in November decreased from 897 (as of November 1, 2024) to 892 (as of December 1, 2024), the number of banks remained unchanged - 62.
