Ukraine to receive "tens of thousands" of drones from January – UK Ministry of Defence
From January, mass deliveries of drones of various types to Ukraine by the countries of the "drone coalition" and the "maritime coalition" within the framework of the "Ramstein" format will begin.
Deputy Minister of Defence of the UK, Luke Pollard, announced this in a speech to the members of the House of Commons. His words are quoted by European Pravda on Thursday, December 19.
Pollard noted that from January, drones of various types will begin to be supplied to Ukraine. According to him, Britain is cooperating with allies to increase assistance to Ukraine.
"I can confirm that a significant change is expected in January - we will begin to supply tens of thousands of drones through the coalition of maritime and unmanned capabilities, which the United Kingdom leads together with our partners Norway and Latvia," said Pollard.
It is necessary to increase the price of waging war for russia, the Deputy Minister of Defence of the UK emphasized.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in October, Luxembourg became the 17th partner country to join the international coalition of drones for Ukraine.
On December 11, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense codified and admitted to operation the domestically produced TOKKO unmanned aviation complex.
Recall that the "drone coalition" was created by Ukraine and Latvia, the decision to do so was made during the visit of Latvian Defense Minister Andris Sprūds to Kyiv in December 2023. The coalition became operational in February 2024.
