Russian general, whom SSU served in absentia with suspicion the day before, killed in explosion in Moscow

In Moscow, russia, Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, the head of the Radiation, Chemical and Biological Protection Troops of the russian Armed Forces, whom the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) had served in absentia with suspicion the day before, was killed in an explosion. His assistant was also killed in the explosion.

This was reported by the russian propaganda television company RT, confirmed by the Investigative Committee of the aggressor state of the russian federation.

"Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov and his assistant were killed in an explosion in Moscow," the publication reported, citing a law enforcement source.

The said Igor Kirillov is the head of the Radiation, Chemical and Biological Protection Troops of the russian Armed Forces.

According to the publication's interlocutor, the explosive device was installed on an electric scooter that was parked near the entrance. There was also another version, according to a source in the law enforcement agencies of the publication: that the device was installed under the official car of the russian general. The car allegedly exploded when the serviceman left the entrance and approached it.

The publication found out that the power of the explosion in Moscow, according to preliminary data, was from 100 to 300 grams of TNT equivalent.

Later, the Investigative Committee of the aggressor state of the russian federation confirmed that Kirillov and his assistant were killed as a result of the explosion on Ryazansky Avenue in Moscow. According to their data, the explosive device was placed in a scooter that was standing next to the entrance of a residential building.

A source of the russian propaganda publication stated that the explosive device was activated using a radio signal, that is, the bomber could be nearby and observe what was happening, the interlocutor specified.

At the same time, the day before, on December 16, the Security Service of Ukraine served in absentia with suspicion to russian General Kirillov. It was indicated that the official is responsible for the mass use of banned chemical weapons by the russians against the Defense Forces on the eastern and southern fronts of Ukraine.

In particular, by order of Kirillov, since the beginning of the full-scale war, more than 4,800 cases of the enemy's use of chemical weapons have been recorded. During the full-scale invasion, more than 2,000 Defense Forces servicemen with varying degrees of chemical poisoning were sent to military hospitals and other medical institutions of Ukraine.
