Mykhailo Podoliak: We are being persuaded to accept our own death

Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Mykhailo Podoliak, expressed the opinion that by refusal accepting Ukraine into NATO, the Alliance member countries are sending Ukraine to its death. He wrote about this in his Telegram channel:

"It's a bit strange, but I'll try to repeat the obvious about... military alliances and why they are needed...

So. Subject putin dreams of destroying Ukraine and does everything to do this in a manifest and murderous way - this has already become an axiom in international politics. He has expressed his categorical non-recognition of the right and possibility of Ukrainians to exist in a separate state many times, publicly, privately - in conversations with world leaders - and proved it with specific genocidal actions. Similarly, all cynical "proposals to end the war" from the russian side were reduced to ultimatums and preparing Ukraine for future liquidation.

So, the owner of the world's second nuclear arsenal plans to kill us and is already doing so. In order to avoid the death of the state, nation, millions of people, Ukraine seeks to become part of the NATO bloc - the most powerful military alliance in history - bringing to it unprecedented combat experience and the best army in the region. And the meaning of NATO's existence, by the way, is to protect the right to life. Does Ukrainian life have any other value than the lives of other European peoples?

We are told: "You can't access NATO. You have to agree to alternative options." That is, "We have united, and you have the right to do that and continue to fight against a bear that has contracted geopolitical rabies"? But there is no other reliable defense in Europe. This was proven by Finland and Sweden, which quickly joined NATO after several decades of neutrality. It seems that we are being persuaded to agree to our own death. But why?".
