Rada early terminates powers of MP Shkrum (Batkivshchyna)
The Verkhovna Rada has early terminated parliamentary powers of MP from the Batkivshchyna All-Ukrainian Association faction Aliona Shkrum.
A total of 307 parliamentarians voted for the adoption of draft resolution No. 12270 as a whole, with a minimum of 226 required, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
The resolution early terminates Shkrum's parliamentary powers in connection with her filing a corresponding application.
The day before, the Rada's Rules Committee supported Shkrum's dismissal, after which the issue was brought to the session hall for a vote.
In 2019, Shkrum was elected a Member of the Rada from the Batkivshchyna party (No. 22 on the party list).
36-year-old Shkrum is a Member of the Rada of the VIII and IX convocations from the Batkivshchyna party; she was a member of the committee on finance, tax and customs politics.
In 2014, Shkrum was an advocacy expert at the Right to Protection charity foundation (Kyiv), which is a partner of the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the Member of the Rada from the European Solidarity faction Oleksii Honcharenko reported that MP Shkrum was resigning and was going to head the new Ministry of National Unity of Ukraine, but then he reported that Shkrum was planned to be appointed Deputy Minister of Communities and Territories Development.
