Occupiers hit Sumy with Shahed drones in the morning, 2 people killed and 12 injured
On Friday morning, the russian occupation army struck a residential neighborhood of Sumy with Shahed drones, as a result of the attack two people were killed and 12 were injured.
The press service of the Sumy Regional Military Administration announced this on the Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"This morning, the enemy attacked the Sumy community with Shahed drones (3 explosions). As a result of the strikes, 2 people were killed, 12 were injured. Emergency and rescue operations are ongoing," the message says.
As a result of the enemy shelling, apartment buildings and private residential buildings, as well as cars, were damaged.
The head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Volodymyr Artiukh, reported that the enemy struck Sumy for the first time with Shahed drones, which were equipped with shrapnel.
"These weapons are used to destroy people, not objects. This is pure genocide," the head of the region stressed.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the evening of November 17, russian occupiers launched ballistic strikes on a densely populated residential area of Sumy, and at night they attacked the city's critical infrastructure with missiles.
As a result of the enemy attack, 11 people were killed, including two children, and 84 people were injured, including 11 children.
