Zelenskyy visits Pokrovsk in Donetsk Region

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has visited the brigade defending Pokrovsk in the Donetsk Region.

Zelenskyy announced this on his Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

"Pokrovsk. I visited the location of the 25th Separate Airborne Brigade Sicheslav, which defends the city. I talked with the defenders and awarded them with awards. The axis is tense. Only thanks to the strength of the soldiers, the East is not completely occupied by Russia. The enemy receives a response every day," he said.

Zelenskyy thanked the soldiers for their courage.

According to the message of the President's Office, Zelenskyy listened to the report of the brigade commander Yevhen Lasiichuk about the situation in the strip of responsibility and the security situation in Pokrovsk.

Lasiichuk reported on the tactics of the russian occupiers in conducting assaults in small groups and countermeasures, interaction with neighboring units, experience in using equipment transferred by partners.

Zelenskyy also listened to the report of the commander of the Donetsk Operational-Tactical Troops Group Oleksandr Lutsenko about the general situation in the area of ​​responsibility of his Troops Group and details about the defense of Kurakhove and other key directions.

The President talked to the sergeants of the brigades defending the Donetsk Region and congratulated them on Sergeant's Day.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that on November 17, 149 combat clashes took place at the front, most of them on the Kurakhove (42 clashes) and Pokrovsk (32 clashes) axes.
