Ivan Mazepa сorvette successfully passing state tests, demonstrating high combat capability - Navy

The future flagship of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ivan Mazepa corvette, continues to successfully pass state tests, in particular, it demonstrated excellent results during artillery firing.

It was announced on the Facebook page of the Commander of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksii Neizhpapa, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

"During the artillery fire, it (the Ivan Mazepa corvette) demonstrated excellent results, accurately hitting air, sea and ground targets. The ship is equipped with modern weapons systems that significantly increase its combat capabilities," the Navy Commander said.

It is noted that all previous technical comments have been taken into account, and the modernization of the corvette is focused on ensuring maximum efficiency and protection in battle, in particular, the means of air defense have been strengthened.

"Ivan Mazepa is not only the latest technology, but also a symbol of the indomitable Ukrainian fleet. Confidence in our forces is growing, and we are ready for new challenges of war. Ukraine is an invincible maritime state capable of repelling any threats!" Neizhpapa added.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in August Defense Minister Rustem Umerov announced that the Hetman Ivan Vyhovskyi and Hetman Ivan Mazepa corvettes, which due to russian aggression were built in Türkiye, are equipped with the most modern weapons and will become a significant addition to the Ukrainian fleet, increasing Ukraine's defense capabilities.
