DTEK tells under what circumstances there will be no power outages in winter
This winter can pass without the application of power outage schedules, if energy facilities are reliably protected from russian shelling.
The Executive Director of DTEK, Dmytro Sakharuk, said this in a comment to Telegraf.
When asked when to expect power outages to return, he said that perhaps there won't be any this winter.
"I can't say, because if the situation is as it is now, then, in principle, we will not return to the schedules," Sakharuk noted.
In his opinion, the cold months will pass without outages if it is possible to protect power facilities.
"We can go through like this. If we can effectively protect, from the point of view of air defense, our facilities, such as generation, transmission. This is, of course, such a very important component in order to get through the winter without power outages," DTEK representative said.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, information about the alleged return of power outage schedules recently spread in the media. Ukrenergo stated that there is currently no reason to introduce power outage schedules in Ukraine.
Meanwhile, Ukrenergo is preparing scenarios for the hardest winter in Ukraine in three years.
