Western partners urge Zelenskyy to record video testament - Kuleba

Former Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba was asked to persuade Volodymyr Zelenskyy to record a video testament on the eve of a full-scale invasion. And Kuleba himself was urged not to go to Ukraine, because he will be needed for the "restoration of Ukrainian independence."

Dmytro Kuleba told about this in the project "USA-UA: Secret Files of the White House".

Kuleba characterized the person, who called for a video testament to be recorded as "not the first person of the American state." However, this person believed that even under a positive scenario, the Ukrainian government would hold on only on the part of the territory of Ukraine.

"Think three times: you will be needed to restore Ukrainian independence," said an unnamed American official.

Despite the call not to return to Ukraine, Kuleba still flew home, but already in Warsaw, his interlocutor began persuasion again. The official claimed: "you will be killed there, and Ukraine will need your voice to continue the struggle."

"Then one person - a great friend of Ukraine - sent me a message and he said: "Then Zelenskyy needs to record a video testament just in case, let it lie there," Kuleba says.

It will be recalled that on the eve of the full-scale invasion, US Vice President Kamala Harris advised Zelenskyy to prepare for the creation of a government in exile.
