Defense Ministry puts SAR 762 MT universal machine gun into service

The Ministry of Defense has codified and put into operation the universal machine gun SAR 762 MT caliber 7.62 x 51 mm NATO.

This was announced by the Ministry of Defense, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

It can be installed on special tripods at combat positions and fire structures, or on lightly armored vehicles.

"The machine gun has a number of technological advantages compared to the Pecheneg company machine gun of a similar class of the aggressor state. In particular, the kit includes a quick-change barrel, which allows for almost continuous fire. In addition, the weapon has an adjustable gas valve, thanks to which it is possible to change the intensity of the shooting," the message says.

It is noted that the weapon has a high resource of the case and barrel, designed for effective use both at extremely low temperatures and in tropical climates.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in October, the Ministry of Defense allowed the Safari HG-105M semi-automatic shotgun to be used in units of the Defense Forces.
