Ukraine receives 95% of military aid promised by Great Britain in July this year

Great Britain provided Ukraine with 95% of weapons, the supply of which London promised to accelerate in July 2024.

Great Britain's Ambassador to Ukraine, Martin Harris, said this in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.

He recalled that after the arrival of Keir Starmer in the chair of the Prime Minister of Great Britain, he promised the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy to strengthen and accelerate support.

"And all the weapons, the delivery of which we promised to accelerate in July, with the appearance of a new government, 95% are now in the hands of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," the Ambassador said.

According to Harris, in London they understand that the situation at the front is now critical, and therefore partners should work quickly in matters of support to Ukraine.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on July 7, the British government announced the provision of military aid to Ukraine. The new package includes small boats, artillery systems, missiles and construction equipment.

We also wrote that in July Great Britain granted Ukraine a loan of GBP 2 billion to finance defense needs.

It will be recalled that London allowed Kyiv to use British weapons on the territory of russia, but with a number of restrictions.
