Zelenskyy announces UAH 1,000 for eSupport for all Ukrainians in December
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced a new program from December 1, which provides for UAH 1,000 for the ePidtrymka (eSupport) for all Ukrainians.
Zelenskyy announced this in a traditional evening video address, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"I instructed the government to introduce a new program from December 1, which will be felt by every family in Ukraine. eSupport for all our people - adults, children, every family in Ukraine. One thousand hryvnias per person - per family, it will be several thousand hryvnias each, and the funds can be spent on paying for Ukrainian goods and services, including utilities, electricity, tickets - this is Ukrzaliznytsia, Ukrainian medicines," he said.
Zelenskyy added that he also instructed that these funds could be spent on Ukrainian books, on cultural services, and could be donated to the military.
All details of the program should be determined by the Cabinet of Ministers and presented to Ukrainians.
"I expect it in the near future. People should have the money on December 1," he said.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in March 2022, within the framework of the eSupport program, payments of UAH 6,500 began to be made to Ukrainians who lost their jobs due to the war, in the regions where the most active hostilities took place. 4.4 million Ukrainians applied for UAH 6,500 under the eSupport program.
According to the results of the verification of the Register of recipients of one-time financial assistance within the framework of the eSupport program, it was found that 25,500 employees of budget institutions who were not entitled to receive the assistance received the appropriate assistance.
In December 2021, as part of the eSupport program, payments of UAH 1,000 to each person vaccinated against the coronavirus with two doses began.
