As of the morning of October 21, the losses of the army of the aggressor country of the russian federation in the war amounted to 1,710 soldiers. Since the beginning of the invasion of Ukraine, the russian federation has lost more than 680,000 soldiers.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this on Facebook, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

The total combat losses of the enemy from 24.02.22 to 21.10.24 approximately amounted to:

• personnel - about 680,230 (+1,710) persons were eliminated;
• tanks – 9,071 (+24) units;
• armored fighting vehicles – 18,175 (+64) units;
• artillery systems – 19,589 (+24) units;
• MLRS – 1,232 units;
• air defense equipment – ​​979 (+1) units;
• aircraft – 369 units;
• helicopters – 329 units;
• UAVs of the operational-tactical level – 17,333 (+46) units;
• cruise missiles – 2,624 units;
• ships/boats - 28 units;
• submarines – 1 unit;
• motor vehicles and tank trucks - 27,034 (+47) units;
• special equipment – 3,479 (+3) units.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the losses of personnel of the russian troops on October 17 increased by 1,530 to 675,800 people, Ukrainian defenders also destroyed 13 tanks, 51 armored fighting vehicles and 23 artillery systems.
