RF preparing to strike Ukraine's energy sector or is saving missiles - ZDF

The aggressor country of russia has not fired a single cruise or ballistic missile over Ukraine for a week, which may mean the depletion of existing reserves or preparations for a massive strike on energy facilities in Ukraine.

Analysts of the German publication ZDF Heute wrote about this on Sunday, October 20.

Analysts noted that for more than a week, russia attacked Ukraine only with kamikaze drones and occasionally with some S-300 surface-to-surface anti-aircraft missiles. At the same time, not a single cruise or ballistic missile was launched.

"One possible explanation is that russia is curtailing production of cruise missiles and ballistic missiles and existing stockpiles are being depleted. Another possibility is that russia is stockpiling such weapons for a larger, concentrated strike on Ukraine, likely targeting the country's energy infrastructure ", the message says.

With the beginning of the heating season in Ukraine, such a strike will be more effective from the russian point of view, analysts believe.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on October 3, the head of the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense, Kyrylo Budanov, said that the aggressor country of russia continues to steadily receive Western components for its missiles, with which it fires at Ukraine.

On September 24, the adviser to the President of Ukraine, Vladyslav Vlasiuk, stated that about 60% of imported components found in russian weapons on the battlefield in Ukraine come through China.
