On the night of October 30, the russian segment of social networks began to write about a drone attack, explosions and an attack on the Yakov Sverdlov plant in Dzerzhinsk (Nizhny Novgorod Oblast), which produces explosives for the russian defense industry.

So, the residents of Dzerzhinsk told about the explosions over the city that happened at approximately 3:30 a.m. According to the local governor, it was a drone attack that was allegedly repelled by anti-aircraft defense and electronic warfare equipment. However, later videos of fires began to appear. The governor explained that the wreckage of the drones fell into the industrial zone, and the fire started there. Four firefighters, who were there, suffered minor shrapnel injuries.

The Yakov Sverdlov factory in Dzerzhinsk is part of the military-industrial complex of russia. The company is one of the largest russian producers of industrial explosives, transfer charges for the mining industry, perforating charges for the oil and gas industry, seismic and geophysical works.
