There is no consensus among EU leaders regarding Victory Plan - Polish Prime Minister
There is no consensus among EU leaders regarding the assessment of the Victory Plan presented by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said this at a press conference after the EU summit in Brussels, RAR writes.
Tusk noted that "no one expected harmony", since the EU countries have different approaches to Ukraine's membership in NATO, and the invitation to the Alliance was the first step in the plan for Ukraine's victory.
The Prime Minister recalled that when the issue of Ukraine's accession to the Alliance first arose, it was Poland that advocated "opening NATO's prospects for Ukraine."
"This has not changed. In this regard, we stand in solidarity with Ukraine," Tusk said.
According to the Prime Minister, today it is difficult to assess how realistic Zelenskyy's plan is, since much will depend on the results of the presidential election in the USA.
"Currently, we are at the stage of waiting for the results of the US election, no one hides this," Tusk said.
The head of the Polish government also added that the strategies contained in Zelenskyy's plan will be reevaluated after the US election.
It will be recalled that Zelenskyy believes that if the West does not support the Victory Plan, then this will be a privilege for the aggressor country of russia and a big mistake.
Meanwhile, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban believes that the Victory Plan presented by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will not work. Instead, it is necessary to start immediate negotiations with russia.
