Zelenskyy's Victory Plan will not work, it is necessary to start immediate negotiations with RF - Orbán

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán believes that the Victory Plan presented by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will not work. Instead, it is necessary to start immediate negotiations with the aggressor country of russia.

Orbán said that "the European Union consists of two groups in the war in Ukraine: there are others and us."

According to him, Hungary initially announced that it did not want to participate in the war.

"Each EU state is participating in the war. The EU behaves like a warring party, but, in Hungary's opinion, this conflict cannot be resolved at the front. We must sit down at the negotiating table," he emphasized.

In his opinion, the Victory Plan will end in defeat.

"The other 26 countries listened in shock to Zelenskyy's Victory Plan. What did you have until now? Until now we thought we were following the victory plan. If they are now moving to the Victory Plan, then did you still have a plan for defeat? We do not support this, because it not a plan for Hungary's victory. We have not participated in the war before and we will not participate again," said the Hungarian Prime Minister.

He emphasized that Ukraine would not be able to win with such a plan.

"It is a good idea to negotiate from a position of strength, but we are weak. I like these wonderful phrases that are formulated in political salons, but in the meantime thousands of Ukrainians are dying. A good idea is not to fight, cease fire and end the war. Everyone has a strategy war, we have a peace strategy," he added.
