AFU destroy 1,450 invaders, 39 units of armored vehicles and 29 artillery systems. General Staff names russia’s losses over day

As of October 16, the losses of russian troops amounted to 1,450 soldiers. Since the beginning of the invasion of Ukraine, the russian federation has lost almost 673,000 soldiers.

This is reported on Facebook of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The total combat losses of the enemy from February 24, 2022 to October 16, 2024 approximately amounted to:

• personnel - about 672,850 (+1,450) persons were eliminated;
• tanks - 8,997 (+9) units;
• armored fighting vehicles - 17,969 (+30) units;
• artillery systems - 19,459 (+29) units;
• MLRS - 1,231 units;
• air defense equipment - 978 units;
• aircraft - 369 units;
• helicopters - 329 units;
• UAVs of the operational-tactical level - 17,050 (+31) units;
• cruise missiles - 2,620 units;
• ships/boats - 28 units;
• submarines - 1 unit;
• automotive equipment and tank trucks - 26,732 (+78) units;
• special equipment - 3,441 units.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the losses of personnel of the russian troops on October 13 increased by 1,260 to 670,190 people, equipment - by 4 tanks, 19 armored vehicles and 11 artillery systems.
