Russia launches more than 130 drones over Ukraine. Details of attack from Air Force

On the night of Wednesday, October 16, russian troops attacked the territory of Ukraine with an anti-aircraft guided missile S-300/400, guided air missile Kh-59 and 136 attack drones of the Shahed type; as of 7:00 a.m., the air defense forces managed to destroy 51 enemy drones, 60 UAVs were lost in location, and another 20 UAVs are in the airspace of Ukraine.

The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this in the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

It is noted that at night the enemy attacked the Donetsk Region with an anti-aircraft guided missile S-300/400 from the temporarily occupied territory of the Donetsk Region, a guided air missile Kh-59 against the Chernihiv Region from the airspace of the Kursk Oblast (RF), as well as 136 attack UAVs from the areas of Kursk, Oryol and Primorsko-Akhtarsk (all - RF).

"As of 07:00 a.m., as a result of anti-aircraft combat, 51 enemy UAVs were shot down in the Sumy, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Ternopil, Kherson, Kharkiv, Zhytomyr, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, Kyiv, Poltava, Chernihiv, and Chernivtsi Regions. As a result of active anti-aircraft defense, 60 russian drones have been lost in different regions of Ukraine, the information is being clarified," the message reads.

In addition, two enemy drones turned back in the direction of russia.

More than 20 UAVs are in the airspace of Ukraine.

Combat work continues.

Aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, EW units and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Defense Forces of Ukraine were involved in repelling the attack.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of October 15, the enemy attacked Ukraine with seven S-300/400 anti-aircraft guided missiles, two Kh-59 guided air missiles and 17 strike UAVs, the air defense forces destroyed 12 enemy drones.

On the evening of October 15, russian troops attacked Kharkiv with guided aerial bombs.

Meanwhile, in Kyiv, over the Troeshchyna neighborhood, the air defense shot down russian drones.
