Bratislava can no longer hand over weapons to Kyiv, but it will still help - Slovak Foreign Ministry

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Slovak Republic, Juraj Blanár, said that the official Bratislava will no longer supply Ukraine with military materials using the reserves of its own army, because, in his opinion, it no longer has free money.

The portal of the Slovak publication Dennik N reported this.

However, the country found another option to help the Ukrainian army.

According to Blanár, Slovakia wants to expand the repair base for Ukrainian military equipment in Michalovce. The diplomat explained that it will be joint work with Germany, which will finance the repair of the equipment, and Slovakia will provide the premises.

It is worth noting that the repair workshop, which is located in the military unit of the Slovak Army in the city of Michalovce, started working at the end of 2022. And currently, according to Blanár, Slovakia wants to expand it as part of its assistance to Ukraine.

Specialists from the Slovak Republic will also participate in the demining of Ukrainian territories.
