Kosiuk’s MHP buys logistics company
In September, one of the largest producers of poultry meat, MHP (Kyiv) became the owner of KK&Sons (70%), which is a 100% owner of the Ukrainian logistics company KTL Ukraine LLC.
This is stated in the company's message, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"For MHP, this is the first investment in the logistics business - with the aim of strengthening MHP-Logistics - the direction of the company, which from 2023 provides a full range of logistics services to both MHP and other market players. Work on the agreement lasted for about 10 months to ensure a balanced transition period for the team," the statement said.
KTL Ukraine specializes in providing forwarding logistics services with a focus on export-import transportation by sea.
"We provide a full range of logistics services not only for MHP, but also for external customers - MHP-Logistics is already a reliable logistics partner for many businesses. The investment in KTL Ukraine will allow us to scale up in maritime logistics to help Ukrainian companies more effectively overcome logistics challenges. We will strengthen our positions and the competitiveness of our partners," said Oleh Upatov, director of MHP-Logistics.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in September, Saudi Salic bought 12.6% of MHP.
In the first half of the year, MHP reduced profit by 33% to USD 45 million and revenue by 4% to USD 1.5 billion.
MHP is a vertically integrated complex of enterprises for the production of chicken, hatching eggs, and fodder.
The founder of the company is Yurii Kosiuk.
