AFU destroy 1,340 invaders, 37 units of armored vehicles and 47 artillery systems. General Staff names russia’s losses over day

During the last day from October 7 to 8, the army of the aggressor country of the russian federation lost 1,340 soldiers, an air defense system and 43 unmanned aerial vehicles at the front.

This is reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The total combat losses of the enemy from February 24, 2022 to October 08, 2024 are approximately:

• personnel - about 662,970 (+1,340) people were eliminated;
• tanks - 8,940 (+7) units;
• armored fighting vehicles - 17,740 (+30) units;
• artillery systems - 19,203 (+47) units;
• MLRS - 1,223 units;
• air defense equipment - 973 (+1) units;
• aircraft - 368 units;
• helicopters - 328 units;
• UAVs of operational-tactical level - 16,686 (+43) units;
• cruise missiles - 2,618 (+3) units;
• ships/boats - 28 units;
• submarines - 1 unit;
• automotive equipment and tank trucks - 26,185 (+83) units;
• special equipment - 3,373 (+9) units.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Ukrainian military destroyed 1,160 russian occupiers during the day of October 6. The total combat losses of the russian federation from February 24, 2022 to October 7, 2024 are approximately 661,630 people.
