Quotations of Ferrexpo shares fall after 1-week rise, down 6.2% to GBP 0.453 per share September 30 – October 4
In the period of September 30 – October 4, the quotations of shares of Ferrexpo plc (United Kingdom), which controls Poltava Mining and Yeristovo Mining (both located in Horishni Plavni, Poltava Region), at the London Stock Exchange decreased by 6.2% or GBP 0.030 per share to GBP 0.453 per share after a one-week fall.
That follows from the data posted at the London Stock Exchange, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
According to the report, on September 30, the shares of the company were quoted at the level of GBP 0.483 per share; on October 1, they decreased to GBP 0.448 per share; but on October 2, they rose to GBP 0.460 per share.
On October 3, the share quotations decreased to GBP 0.452 per share; but on October 4 increased to GBP 0.453 per share.
The transactions were being conducted throughout the week.
Since the start of the year, the company's share quotations have decreased by 49.8% (compared to the level of quotations on December 29, 2023 - GBP 0.903).
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in the period of September 23-27, the quotations of shares of Ferrexpo plc at the London Stock Exchange increased by 16.0% or GBP 0.066 per share to GBP 0.479 per share after a one-week fall.
In the period of December 31, 2022 - December 31, 2023, the quotations of shares of Ferrexpo plc at the London Stock Exchange fell by 42.6% or GBP 0.669 per share to GBP 0.903 per share.
In January-June 2024, compared to the same period last year, the Ferrexpo plc increased its net profit twice, or by USD 28 million, to USD 55 million.
The group's earnings in the first half of the year increased by 64% to USD 549 million, mainly due to the recovery of exports from Ukrainian Black Sea ports.
In the first half of the year, the company increased EBITDA (Earnings before Taxes, Interest, and Depreciation) by 24%, or USD 15 million, to USD 79 million, which is largely due to increased revenue due to increased production.
Capital investments in the 1st half of the year decreased by 5% to USD 55 million.
