Air defense forces shoot down 78 out of 105 enemy attack UAVs during night
On the night of Thursday, October 3, russian troops launched 105 Shahed attack drones on the territory of Ukraine, the air defense forces managed to destroy 78 enemy drones, one drone flew to Belarus, 23 UAVs were lost in location.
The Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this on its Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
It is noted that last night 105 enemy drones were detected and escorted by the radio engineering troops of the Air Forces (launch areas: Oryol, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Kursk - russia, Cape Chauda - Crimea).
"As a result of anti-aircraft combat, 78 enemy Shahed type UAVs were shot down in the Kyiv, Cherkasy, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, Kirovohrad, Zhytomyr, Poltava, Chernihiv, Kherson, Odesa, Kharkiv, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, Rivne, and Ivano-Frankivsk Regions.
One drone flew in the direction of Belarus, twenty-three enemy UAVs were lost in location in various regions of Ukraine, presumably as a result of active anti-aircraft missile defense. The information is being clarified," the message reads.
The air attack was repulsed by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units and mobile fire groups of the Air Forces and the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on October 2, the russians attacked Ukraine with 32 Shaheds.
The Ukrainian military shot down 11 enemy drones, 4 UAVs returned to russia, 10 UAVs were lost in location.
