Poland and Romania become largest recipients of grain by rail – Ukrzaliznytsia
The average daily volume of wagons with grain to Poland and Romania in September exceeds 50 units. This was discussed during an online meeting of representatives of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia with participants of the agricultural market, reports Rail.insider.
On average, 53.4 grain wagons pass through Ukrainian-Polish border crossings per day. This is 3.1 units more than in August. The average daily volume of grain transfer to Romania is 50.9 wagons. Compared to August, the indicator decreased by 2.1 units.
The transfer of grain through Ukrainian-Hungarian border crossings decreased by 0.1 wagon in September. The current indicator is 28.4 units per day. On average, 27.7 grain wagons move to Slovakia. The increase compared to August is 1.8 units per day.
The total average daily transfer of grain cargoes and meal is 196 wagons per day. During September, the indicator decreased by 10 units per day. At the same time, the number of wagons with grain heading to the ports of Great Odesa increased to 5,143 units. For a week, the increase reaches 870 wagons.
The average daily volume of grain unloading in the ports of Great Odesa is currently 992 wagons. During the week, the indicator increased by 28 units per day. The load of grain in wagons also increased. So, the average daily volume is currently 1,070 wagons. The increase over the last week reaches 62 units per day.
In addition, there are two abandoned trains. They are heading to the Ukrelevatorprom terminal in the port of Odesa.
The accumulation of wagons with grain in the direction of the port of Izmail increased by 122 wagons. The current accumulation reaches 688 units. The average daily rate of unloading of wagons with grain at the port of Izmail is 75 units. Compared to last week, the indicator decreased by one wagon per day.
