Air defense forces shoot down 28 attack UAVs and 4 guided air missiles during russian night attack on Ukraine

On the night of Wednesday, September 25, russian troops launched an S-300 anti-aircraft guided missile, 4 guided air missiles, 4 missiles of an unknown type and 32 attack UAVs of the Shahed type over the territory of Ukraine, the air defense forces managed to shoot down 28 attack UAVs and 4 guided air missiles.

The Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this on its Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

"On the night of September 25, 2024, the Russian occupiers attacked the Kharkiv Region with an S-300 anti-aircraft guided missile and three missiles of an unknown type, Odesa Region - with four Kh-59/69 guided air missiles from the airspace of the Black Sea, as well as 32 attack UAVs of the Shahed type (launch areas: Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Kursk - russia)," the message says.

It is noted that 28 attack UAVs and four Kh-59/69 guided air missiles were detected and shot down by the Air Forces’ radio engineering troops that night.

Another four enemy drones were lost in location in several regions of Ukraine (no information about casualties or destruction was received).

The air attack was repulsed by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units and mobile fire groups of the Air Forces and the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

Anti-aircraft defense worked in the Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Sumy, Poltava, Mykolaiv, Odesa and Kherson Regions.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of Tuesday, September 24, the russians launched four missiles of various types and 81 attack drones on the territory of Ukraine, and the air defense forces managed to shoot down 66 enemy drones.
