Oleksandr Usyk released and no one detaining him anymore - Zelenskyy
Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk was released after his arrest at Krakow airport.
This is reported in the President's Telegram channel.
"I spoke on the phone with Oleksandr Usyk when he was detained. I was outraged by such treatment of our citizen and champion," the head of state said.
He also instructed the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha and the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Ihor Klymenko to immediately understand all the details of the incident at the Krakow airport.
"I was just informed that everything is fine, our champion has been released and no one is detaining him anymore," Zelenskyy added.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the absolute world boxing champion in super heavyweight Oleksandr Usyk was detained at the airport of the Polish city of Krakow.
On September 13, Oleksandr Usyk said that there is a position in the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine that he would like to take up. According to him, he would like to become the minister of sports.
