Russians launch over 640 Shaheds across Ukraine in half of September - Zelenskyy

In the first half of September, the russian occupiers launched 640 Shahed attack drones over the territory of Ukraine, most of which were shot down by the air defense forces.

This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

"Only in the first half of this September, russian terrorists used more than 640 Shaheds against Ukrainian cities and villages. Fortunately, most of them were shot down by our servicemen," the message reads.

The President informed that Ukraine is constantly working to make its air shield more effective and is strengthening the Air Force, mobile fire groups, and all air defense units.

In particular, on the night of September 16, the russian army launched 56 Shaheds, of which 53 were shot down.

"Our defenders of the sky have worked effectively in many regions. Thanks for the accuracy of each soldier!" Zelenskyy added.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, damage to cars and private houses was recorded in the Kyiv Region as a result of a night attack by enemy drones. A woman was also wounded.
