Britain will allow Ukraine to use Storm Shadow missiles to strike russia - The Guardian
Great Britain has probably already decided to allow Ukraine to use Storm Shadow cruise missiles against targets on the territory of the aggressor country of russia.
This was reported by The Guardian with reference to sources in the British government.
According to the publication, the decision to use Storm Shadow missiles to strike targets in the russian federation was made in private and, most likely, will not be announced on Friday at the meeting between British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and US President Joe Biden in Washington.
One of the sources told the journalists of the publication that without such a decision, the joint visit of the head of the British Foreign Office David Lammy and the US Secretary of State Antony Blinken to Kyiv would not have taken place.
It is also noted that the British side seems to consider the public statement of the use of long-range missiles for strikes on russia "excessively provocative".
It is also "quite likely" that Ukraine will be able to use Storm Shadow cruise missiles with certain restrictions "to avoid reckless or unnecessary attacks."
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced the allocation of more than USD 700 million in aid to Ukraine. These funds will be used to restore Ukrainian energy, humanitarian support and demining.
