Air defense downed russian drones in Kyiv suburbs at night

Overnight into September 10, near Kyiv, anti-aircraft defense worked against enemy drones.

Serhii Popko, the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration and the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this in Telegram.

"Air defense is operating on the approaches to Kyiv. Stay in shelters until the air-raid alert goes off!" Serhii Popko said.

According to the military, Shahed is in the suburbs of Bucha.

Also, around 6:00 a.m., Popko reported that combat air defense operations against russian attack drones are ongoing in the suburbs of Kyiv.

"It can be quite loud. Keep calm and stay in shelters until the air-raid alert goes off," the message reads.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of September 8, a group of attack drones of the aggressor state of russia violated the airspace of Romania during the attack on Ukraine.

At night, russian attack drones came to the capital in several waves, air defense destroyed all on the approaches.

On the night of September 8, the air defense forces destroyed 15 of 23 Shahed-type attack UAVs and 1 of 4 Kh-59 guided air missiles over Ukraine.
