There were 42 air targets. Air Force reveals how many missiles and drones were downed tonight
On the night of September 4, the russians attacked Ukraine with air and ground-based missiles, as well as with Shahed type UAVs. Air defense managed to shoot down 22 UAVs and 7 out of 13 missiles.
This was reported by the Air Force Command.
In total, the Air Force detected 42 air targets:
- 2 Kh-47 M2 Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles from MiG-31K aircraft from the airspace of the Tula Oblast - russian federation;
- 2 Kh-22 cruise missiles from Tu-22M3 aircraft from the airspace over the Black Sea;
- 6 Kh-101 cruise missiles from Tu-95MS aircraft from the airspace of the Volgograd Oblast - russian federation;
- 3 Iskander-K cruise missiles from the territory of the occupied Crimea;
- 29 attack UAVs Shahed-131/136 (launch areas of the Kursk Oblast - russian federation).
Aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Defense Forces of Ukraine were involved in repelling the enemy's air attack.
As a result of anti-aircraft combat, 29 air targets were shot down:
- 4 Kh-101 cruise missiles;
- 3 Iskander-K cruise missiles;
- 22 attack UAVs Shahed-131/136.
Six attack drones were lost in location (presumably suppressed by electronic warfare devices), one flew to Belarus.
Anti-aircraft defense worked in the Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernihiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Volyn, Ternopil, Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Poltava and Sumy Regions.
We will remind you that the russian federation attacked Lviv and Kryvyi Rih at night. In Lviv, 7 people are known to have been killed, including three children. Five people were injured in Kryvyi Rih. There is destruction of houses and civil infrastructure.
