Plans for preparing for winter will have to be adjusted due to attack on energy infrastructure - Ukrenergo
Plans for preparing for winter will have to be adjusted due to a massive missile attack on the energy infrastructure.
Yurii Boiko, adviser to the Prime Minister of Ukraine, member of the supervisory board of NPC Ukrenergo, announced this.
"For now, it is difficult to say how much this attack will affect the plans to restore the power system and the ability to supply electricity to our consumers without restrictions in September-October, but I think that by the end of the day we will understand the situation and the energy supply efforts will be promptly adjusted," he said at a briefing at the Media Center of Ukraine in Kyiv on Monday.
At the same time, he drew attention to the fact that in the absence of strikes on the power system until the end of October, no major restrictions were planned, or even no restrictions at all, since during this period there is a minimum load on the power system, and the available capacity, taking into account the active repair campaign, has to be enough for uninterrupted provision of electricity.
"It is quite obvious that, based on the results of the attack, it will be necessary to analyze the state of the power system, the changes that will certainly bear a "minus" sign, and, accordingly, to adjust the plans for preparing for winter," Boiko explained.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, 15 regions were affected on Monday, August 26, as a result of a massive russian attack, and the energy infrastructure was once again the target of russian terrorists.
In the morning in the Kyiv Region, on the approaches to Kyiv, anti-aircraft defense was working during an air alert throughout the territory of Ukraine due to the threat of cruise missile launches from Tu-95MS aircraft of the russian federation.
Later it became known that the Air Defense Forces also worked in Kyiv itself. Points of invincibility are deployed in Kyiv due to emergency blackouts.
In addition, Poland raised Polish and allied aircraft in the sky due to a massive russian missile attack across Ukraine.
