Stabilization actions underway. 3rd Separate Assault Brigade talks about counterattack in Kharkiv Region
Stabilization measures are ongoing at the site of the counterattack in the Kharkiv Region.
Oleksandr Borodin, press officer of the Third Separate Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, stated this to Radio Svoboda.
According to him, as a result of the operation, the positions and logistics of the 20th Army of the russian federation were seriously destroyed.
"Currently, stabilization actions are underway. In general, fortifications have already been carried out. That is, the situation is quite stable. One of the successes is that we were able to keep the russian 20th Army from further plans and opportunities for development," Borodin said.
He noted that the enemy could plan an offensive towards Makiivka, on the one hand. On the other hand, they could transfer personnel, forces and means to other directions of the front throughout the country. Currently, they are engaged in trying to restore some parts of the positions, trying to build a new line of defense.
"From a military point of view, destroying forces and means and disrupting plans is often a more important success than liberating territories, if we speak in military language," Borodin says.
When asked whether the operation of the Third Separate Assault Brigade was related to the operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk Oblast, Borodin replied that it was a "synchronized success." A spokesman for the Third Assault Brigade also says that, despite the damage, including in terms of personnel, the russian army has large reserves in this direction, but they may be ineffective due to logistical damage.
Recall that on August 22, the Third Separate Assault Brigade announced an offensive in the Kharkiv Region and the return of territories.
