AFU advances along entire flank in Kursk Oblast – ISW

According to geolocation images from August 21 and 22, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) advanced along the entire offensive line in the Kursk Oblast of russia.

This follows from a statement by the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW).

In particular, geolocation footage released on August 21 shows that the AFU advanced to the eastern part of Komarivka (south of Korenevo and east of Sudzha). At the same time, russian sources claim that russian troops allegedly repelled Ukrainian attacks in the area.

At the same time, russian military personnel report that Ukrainian forces operating northeast of Korenevo have captured Semenivka and advanced to the southern part of Levshinka. In addition, according to their data, the AFU advanced a little north of Martynivka (northeast of Sudzha).

Other geolocation footage from August 22 shows a slight advance of the Ukrainian army in the south of russian Konopelka (east of Sudzha).

According to russian soldiers, units of the russian "Wild Division of Donbass," including the "Arbat," "Pyatnashka," and "Sarmat" battalions, repelled the attack on Nechayev (north of Sudzha). It is also reported that Ukrainian troops continued to engage in combat with russian forces in the Glushkovo, Korenevo, Sudzha, and Bilovo districts of the Kursk Oblast.

In addition, according to russian sources, on the evening of August 21, Ukrainian forces carried out combat reconnaissance near Zabram, Bryansk Oblast. However, russian troops, including border guards and Chechen fighters of the Akhmat special forces, repelled this attack.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, some American officials fear that the Kursk operation may stretch the AFU forces.
