Russia claims that ferry in Kavkaz port sank after AFU attack
Ukraine attacked a railway ferry with fuel tanks in the Kavkaz port of the Krasnodar Krai of the aggressor country of the russian federation, as a result of which it sank.
The operational headquarters of the region announced this on Thursday, August 22.
At first, the operational headquarters called the attack a "terrorist attack", and then simply an "event". To extinguish the fire on the ferry, a fire train, 34 pieces of equipment, and 101 firefighters were used, including 43 people and 13 pieces of equipment from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of russia, as the operational headquarters stated.
"As a result of the damage, the ferry sank in the water area of the Kavkaz port. There are no sources of ignition in the territory of the port," the message says.
Despite the ban on the publication of videos, random witnesses shared footage of what happened on the ferry after the hits.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, over a year and a half, the Ukrainian MAGURA V5 maritime attack drone struck 18 ships of the aggressor state of russia.
The total number of destroyed ships of the russian fleet reached 28.
On the night of August 8-9, near the settlement of Chornomorske in the temporarily occupied Crimea, soldiers of the Group 13 special unit of the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine destroyed a russian high-speed boat of the project KS 701 of the Tunets type.
