White House claims they did not prohibit Ukraine from shelling russian territory with Storm Shadow missiles – media
The White House has denied the information about the alleged ban on striking the territory of the russian federation with long-range Storm Shadow missiles.
An unnamed representative of the Administration of the President of the United States stated this to the British publication The Telegraph.
The United Kingdom has sent a request for permission to use Storm Shadow missiles on russian territory. However, the White House claims that they have not received an official request.
Instead, strikes by Storm Shadow missiles on the territory of russia require the approval of not only the UK, but also France and the United States. So, The Times sources say that the UK cannot allow Ukraine to hit russia with Storm Shadow missiles because of U.S. resistance.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, according to media, the UK has been waiting for more than a month for the decision of the U.S. to give permission to Ukraine to hit russian territory with Storm Shadow missiles.
