Russia loses 1,230 soldiers and 60 artillery systems during the day – General Staff

Russia continues to lose its manpower, military equipment, and weapons in the war against Ukraine. During the day of August 16, Ukrainian soldiers "denazified" 1,230 russian invaders.

A total of 215 units of equipment and weapons were destroyed. Updated data on the losses of the aggressor state as of the morning of August 17 was published by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Together with the 1,230 occupiers eliminated the day before, the total combat losses of the russian federation in manpower during the full-scale invasion reached 598,180 people.

Ukrainian soldiers and enemy equipment and weapons are consistently knocked out.

So, the day before, they destroyed five enemy tanks (in total, the russians lost 8,501 units of this equipment), 12 armored fighting vehicles (a total of 16,473), 58 artillery systems (16,985), one anti-aircraft gun (1,160) and one anti-aircraft vehicle ( 923).

Unfortunately, the russians did not lose planes and helicopters on August 16, 367 and 328 of them were destroyed, as before. Instead, Ukrainian soldiers landed 55 UAVs at the operational-tactical level the day before (a total of 13,714), and three cruise missiles were also destroyed (a total of 2,432)

The confirmed number of destroyed ships/boats (28) and submarines (1) remains unchanged. But the enemy lost 65 vehicles per day (a total of 22,913), and 15 special vehicles (2,844) were also "demilitarized" the day before.
