A real dilemma for Putin - Biden comments on events in Kursk Oblast for the first time

The offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the territory of the Kursk Oblast creates a serious dilemma for russian dictator Vladimir Putin.

This follows from a statement by U.S. President Joe Biden, Reuters reports.

This is how the head of the White House spoke for the first time about the operation of the Armed Forces during a visit to New Orleans.

"I've been talking to my team regularly, maybe every four to five hours for the last six to eight days (to keep abreast of developments. - ed.), and that creates a real dilemma for Putin," the President said.

Biden also added that he and his administration are in direct, constant contact with the Ukrainians while the military operation continues.

As earlier reported, General Syrskyi reported to President Zelenskyy that the Defense Forces of Ukraine control 74 settlements of the Kursk Oblast. Ukraine's troops advanced in separate directions from 1 to 3 km, and more than 40 sq. km of territory was taken under control.

On August 12, Zelenskyy explained that the operation of the Armed Forces in the Kursk Oblast is a security issue for Ukraine.

Meanwhile, the U.S. Department of State said that the United States was not involved in the planning of the operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk Oblast of the aggressor country, russia.
