Russia hits Ukraine with Iskanders and Shaheds overnight

Overnight into Tuesday, August 13, the army of the aggressor country, russia, carried out airstrikes on the territory of Ukraine using ballistic weapons and kamikaze drones. Three dozen Shaheds were destroyed by the forces and means of air defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

This follows from a statement by the commander of the Air Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces / Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk.

In general, during the air attack on the night of August 13, the occupiers launched over Ukraine:

• 2 Iskander-M KN-23 ballistic missiles (from the Voronezh Oblast, russia),
• and 38 attack drones (from Primorsko-Akhtarsk and Kursk Oblasts, russia).

Oleschuk reported that the following were involved in repelling an enemy air attack:

• mobile fire groups,
• aviation,
• anti-aircraft missile units,
• EW tools.

In total, 30 Shaheds were shot down in the Mykolayiv, Vinnytsia, Sumy, Kirovohrad, Kherson, Chernihiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Cherkasy Regions.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the russian army struck the critical infrastructure of Sumy. Gas and electricity have disappeared in one area, there is an injured person.
