Russian army hits critical infrastructure of Sumy; gas and electricity supplies stopped in one area, an injured person reported

Overnight into August 13, russian occupiers attacked critical infrastructure facilities in the city of Sumy; relevant services are working on the ground as a result of a russian airstrike on infrastructure facilities; gas and electricity supplies are currently missing in one of the city's districts. As a result of the enemy attack, one person was injured.

This follows from a statement by Oleksii Drozdenko, the head of the Sumy City Military Administration.

"There is one wounded person; he was taken away by an ambulance," the official said.

Reconstruction works are currently underway in the city after the morning attack by the russian invaders.

"Veretenivka district is temporarily without gas and electricity until the works are completed," informed the head of the Sumy City Military Administration.

He added that the work of all services continues.

In addition, the official noted that now, the exit from Veretenivka to Kovpaka Street is still impossible, and he provided information about a detour through Hannivka.

The Sumy Regional Military Administration specified that the enemy had launched a missile and air strike on infrastructure facilities in Sumy. And the consequences of the attack are being clarified.

"At the moment, all units and services are working on site. Emergency and restoration work is being carried out," the administration added.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, last day, August 11, russian occupation forces attacked 17 settlements in the Kherson Region. Casualties were reported.
