Since today, redeployment of military units allowed without government and President’s approval

Today, a law is entering into force that allows the redeployment of military units without the approval of the government and the President during martial law.

This is stated in the published law, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

The law was published in the Holos Ukrainy (Voice of Ukraine) on August 8.

According to its provisions, it enters into force on the day following its publication.

Article 6 of the Law On the Armed Forces of Ukraine is supposed to be supplemented with a new paragraph, according to which, during the period of martial law, the redeployment of military units, as well as military educational institutions, institutions and organizations of the Armed Forces lower than the level of a unit is carried out by decision of the General Staff of the Armed Forces with the approval with the Ministry of Defense.

Previously, during martial law and peacetime, the redeployment of military units, as well as military educational institutions, institutions and organizations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine lower than the level of a unit was carried out by the decision of the Ministry of Defense in agreement with the Cabinet of Ministers, and units - by the decision of the President.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, today, August 9, the law on the possibility of renewal in military rank enters into force.
