Russians claim loss of 11 settlements, and AFU remain silent. What is known about situation in Kursk Oblast
Russian propagandists and so-called "military bloggers" claim that the Armed Forces of Ukraine broke through the defense of the russian army on the border section in the Kursk Oblast. They also write that from 3 to 11 settlements have come under the control of the Ukrainian military. The Ukrainian side continues to remain silent, not commenting on what is happening.
This is evidenced by the messages of propagandists and anonymous Telegram channels.
Former employee of the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the russian federation and OSINT analyst Mikhail Zvinchuk stated in his author's Telegram channel "Rybar" that a difficult situation remains in the Kursk Oblast.
In his message as of 01:00 a.m. on August 7, it is said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine allegedly occupied the settlements of Nikolayevo-Darino, Darino and Sverdlikovo of the Kursk Oblast.
The situation in the areas of the settlements of Rylsk and Sudzha allegedly remains unknown.
Propagandist believes that what is happening in the Kursk Oblast shows that the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been developing this operation for a long time.
He published a fragment of his author's map, on which he indicated the probable advance of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk Oblast.
Around 10:30 a.m., the russian propaganda Telegram channel "Dva Mayora" wrote that the Armed Forces of Ukraine allegedly managed to advance 15 kilometers deep into the Kursk Oblast. The width of the section of the front controlled by them is allegedly 10-11 kilometers.
At the same time, this channel claims that as of the evening of August 6, the Armed Forces of Ukraine were allegedly present in Lyubimovka, Obukhovka, Pokrovsk, Zeleny Shlyas, Tolsty Lug, Nizhny Klin, Nikolayevo-Darino, Darino, Sverdlikovo, and Lebedevka.
The so-called "war correspondent" and propagandist Yuriy Podoliaka published his vision of what is happening in the Kursk Oblast.
On the map he showed, the Armed Forces of Ukraine allegedly advanced to the west of the city of Sudzha. At the same time, it is claimed that the Ukrainian military continues to expand the zone of control.
Propagandist and participant in the war against Ukraine Yegor Guzenko (Trinadtsaty) wrote that the actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are "not a media step by the roosters from the RDK [Russian Volunteer Corps], it is a natural offensive and a breakthrough."
According to him, the Armed Forces of Ukraine allegedly advanced about 10 kilometers deep into the Kursk Oblast and continue to draw up reserves.
"Yesterday, two of our helicopters were shot down, the air defense was pulled into a f****** pile," the occupier wrote.
Currently, it is known that local authorities failed to evacuate civilians in settlements in the area of hostilities.
The russian mass media and the residents themselves complain on social networks that the leadership of the region was unable to organize the evacuation. People are forced to leave their homes and leave on their own.
The network says that people are trying to leave in the direction of Kursk and other settlements in the north of the oblast.
The fighting in the border areas of the Kursk Oblast has been going on for a day and a half, but during this time the Ukrainian side has not officially commented on what is happening.
No comments came from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, nor from the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. Speakers and official representatives of the Defense Forces of Ukraine are also silent.
At the same time, a number of anonymous and not only Telegram channels, for example, "Mykolaivskyi Vaniok", wrote that they were asked not to comment on what is happening in the Kursk Oblast, and that is what they do.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the evening of August 6, the Ministry of Defense of the aggressor country of russia edited its message, removing from it the reference to the alleged retreat of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the Kursk Oblast.
And today, August 7, analysts of the Ukrainian OSINT-project DeepState talked about the first losses of russians in the Kursk Oblast, which they managed to record.
Among the losses of the russians is a Mi-28 attack helicopter, which SSU fighters shot down with the help of an FPV drone. This is the first recorded case since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, and probably in history.
We also wrote that russian propagandists complained about fighters from the Chechen unit "Akhmat", who left their positions in the border areas of the Kursk Oblast after the start of the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
