123 combat clashes take place at front over past 24 hours - General Staff

The day before, on August 2, 123 combat clashes took place on the front line during the day. The fiercest battles were fought in the Pokrovsk, Toretsk and Lyman Axes.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian pilots, gunners and rocket launchers made 15 strikes on the concentration points of the occupiers, hit the location where the enemy had accumulated weapons and equipment, hit the drone control center, two anti-aircraft vehicles and the russian ammunition depot.

The operational summary of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 8:00 a.m. states the situation on the front line.

"Over the past 24 hours, 123 combat clashes have been recorded. According to detailed information, yesterday the enemy launched one missile strike against the positions of Ukrainian units and populated areas, using three missiles, as well as 80 airstrikes, including dropping 114 guided aerial bombs. In addition, it launched 4,693 shellings, of which 93 - from rocket salvo fire systems," the General Staff noted.

The day before, the russians carried out airstrikes in the areas of the settlements of Vovchanski Khutory, Ternova, Vovchansk, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Kupyansk of the Kharkiv Region; Druzhba, Shcherbynivka, Toretsk, New York, Dyliyivka, Malynivka, Yelyzavetivka, Myrnohrad, Novohrodivka, Marynivka, Mykolayivka, Karlivka, Vuhledar, Staromayorske, Makarivka, Urozaine, Blahodatne of the Donetsk Region; Pavlivka, Novoandriyivka, Zaporizhzhia Region; Olhivka, Kherson Region.

Meanwhile, the aviation, missile forces and artillery of the Defense Forces carried out 15 strikes on enemy personnel concentration areas, the weapons and military equipment concentration area, the control point of the UAVs, and also hit two air defense systems and an enemy ammunition depot the day before.
