Air defense downed 24 of 29 enemy UAVs that attacked Ukraine - AFU Air Force
Overnight into Saturday, russian troops attacked Ukraine with drones from the occupied Crimea and the territory of the russian federation, and also launched a missile strike, the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.
"As a result of anti-aircraft combat, 24 attack UAVs of the Shahed-131/136 type were shot down within the borders of the Kherson, Odesa, Mykolaiv, Poltava, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv, Vinnytsia and Zhytomyr Regions," the message says.
It is noted that overnight into August 3, the enemy attacked with two S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles from the occupied territory of Donbas, two Kh-31P anti-radar missiles from the airspace over the Black Sea, as well as 29 attack UAVs of the Shahed type from the directions: cape Chauda - Crimea, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Kursk - russian federation.
The air attack was repelled by mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, anti-aircraft missile troops and units of the Air Defense Forces of the Air Force.
