Ukraine receives new package of military aid from Germany. It includes tanks, surface drones and ammunition
Germany and Denmark handed Ukraine a new package of military aid. The Ukrainian military will receive Leopard 1 tanks, ammunition, radars and drones.
This is evidenced by information on the website of the German government.
So, the new package of military aid included the following weapons and equipment:
- 8 Leopard 1 A5 tanks;
- 2 Bergepanzer 2 repair and evacuation vehicles;
- 10 surface drones;
- 10 ground surveillance radars;
- field hospital;
- 24,810 helmets;
- 21,000 spare parts for Gepard anti-aircraft guns;
It is noted that the Leopard 1 tanks were transferred as part of a joint effort between Germany and Denmark.
It is emphasized that Germany handed over a total of 58 Leopard 1 tanks.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on July 24 it became known that the Czech Republic is preparing a draft of a new initiative to supply ammunition to Ukraine for 2025.
Recall that earlier this month Bulgaria announced that they had discovered surplus ammunition that could be transferred to Ukraine.
In addition, France has started training a new brigade of the Defense Forces of Ukraine. After training, Paris will provide it with weapons and ammunition.
