Air Defense downs 1 Kh-59/69 missile and 4 enemy Shaheds overnight
Overnight into Saturday, July 27, russian troops attacked the territory of Ukraine with a Kh-59/Kh-69 air missile and four Shahed attack UAVs, all of which were destroyed by air defense forces.
The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this in the Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"Overnight into July 27, 2024, the enemy attacked with a Kh-59/Kh-69 guided air missile from the airspace of the temporarily occupied territories of the Zaporizhzhia Region and four Shahed attack UAVs from Primorsko-Akhtarsk, russia," the message reads.
According to the information of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, all targets were shot down by the forces and means of the Defense Forces of Ukraine in the Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava, Kharkiv, and Kyiv Regions.
Besides, Ukraine's Air Defense downed eight more air targets on the southern and northeastern axes: 4 Supercam reconnaissance UAVs, 1 Forpost strike-reconnaissance UAV, 1 UAV (type to be determined), and two barrage munitions Lancet.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, overnight into Friday, July 26, russian troops attacked the territory of Ukraine with an Iskander-M ballistic missile and 22 Shahed-type attack drones, and the air defense forces destroyed 20 Shaheds.
