Romania confirms finding wreckage of russian Shaheds

Specialists of the Ministry of Defense, the Romanian Intelligence Service and the Ministry of Internal Affairs discovered the wreckage of a Geran1/2 type unmanned aerial vehicle of a russian origin in Tulcea County. The search for others continues until all objects are found.

This is stated in the press release of the Ministry of National Defense of Romania on Thursday, July 25.

On the night of July 24-25, russian troops resumed drone attacks on civilian objects and port infrastructure of Ukraine near the border with Romania. The department noted that the air alert signal in Tulcea County lasted from 01:20 a.m. to 02:13 a.m.

"So far, the wreckage of a russian-made Geran1/2 drone have been identified in the first of three locations identified as possible crash zones in the vicinity of Plauru, Tulcea County. The search will continue today to cover the entire area. Please be informed that all locations identified as possible debris fall zones are located outside the population centers, without affecting the elements of the infrastructure," the Romanian Ministry of Defense said in a statement.

The Ministry of Defense informed and continues to inform allied structures in real time about the consequences of the attack and the fall of the drone debris.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of July 25, the russians launched 38 Shahed attack drones over Ukraine. Air defense forces destroyed 25 UAVs, another 3 were lost in location after crossing the state border with Romania.
