Occupiers become more active in Pokrovsk and Kurakhove axes. General Staff reports situation at front

On July 24, 149 combat clashes took place at the front, the enemy attacked most in the Pokrovsk (38 clashes) and Kurakhove (32) axes.

This was announced by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

Last day, the enemy launched four missile strikes against the positions of Ukrainian units and populated areas using six missiles, 58 air strikes (in particular, 79 guided aerial bombs were used), 4,811 shellings, 144 of them using rocket salvo systems.

149 combat clashes were recorded during the day.

In the Kharkiv axis, the enemy continued its assault.

Eight combat clashes took place here in the areas of Hlyboke, Tykhe and Sotnytskyi Kozachok settlements.

There were also eight combat clashes in the Kupyansk axis during the day.

The Defense Forces repelled enemy assaults in the areas of Synkivka, Stelmakhivka, and Petropavlivka.

In the Lyman axis, Ukrainian troops repelled 15 assaults by the occupiers in the areas of Makiyivka, Nevske and Serebriansk forest.

The enemy actively used attack aircraft in the indicated axis.

In the Siversk axis, the Defense Forces repelled nine attacks near Verkhniokamyanske and Ivano-Daryivka.

In the Kramatorsk axis, Ukrainian soldiers stopped 12 attempts by the enemy to break through the Ukrainian defenses in the areas of Chasiv Yar, Nove and in the direction of Novomarkove.

The Russians concentrated their efforts in the Toretsk axis near the settlements of Pivnichne and New York, where, with the support of aviation, they carried out seven attacks on the positions of Ukrainian troops.

In the Pokrovsk axis, Ukrainian defenders repelled 38 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Vozdvyzhenka, Novoselivka Persha, Novooleksandrivka, Vovche and Karlivka, where the invaders tried to dislodge Ukrainian units from their occupied positions, actively using assault and bombing aircraft.

In the Kurakhove axis, the Defense Forces continue to hold back the enemy in the areas of Krasnohorivka, Kostiantynivka, and Paraskoviyivka, where the occupiers tried 32 times to break through the defenses of the Ukrainian troops.

In the Vremivka axis, the invaders carried out 13 unsuccessful attacks on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Kostiantynivka and Vodiane.

Unguided air missiles were fired at Vuhledar and in the Urozhaine area.

In the Orikhiv axis, three combat clashes took place near Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka and Novodarivka.

In the Prydniprovsk axis, the russians were defeated during their four attacks on the defensive positions of the Ukrainian defenders.

On July 24, the aviation and missile forces and artillery of the Defense Forces carried out 13 airstrikes on enemy manpower concentrations, hitting a control post, an artillery system, two air defense vehicles and one enemy radar.

In total, the russian invaders lost 1,230 people last day.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on July 23, 152 combat clashes took place at the front, the enemy attacking the Pokrovsk (41) and Toretsk (18) axes the most.

For the first time in a long time, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented on the losses of the Defense Forces of Ukraine in the war against russia.

Meanwhile, the new Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Great Britain, General Sir Roly Walker, believes that russia may need 5 years to achieve its stated goals in Ukraine.
