Russians rushing to Pokrovsk trying to capture islands of Dnieper's left bank floodplain – Syrskyi
The russians are rushing to Pokrovsk in the Donetsk Region, trying to capture the islands of the floodplain on the left bank of the Dnieper River.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, announced this on his Facebook page, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"I work in the hottest areas of the Eastern Front. The enemy ignores the rather high level of losses and continues to rush towards Pokrovsk. Fierce battles continue in Krasnohorivka, in the areas of Prohres, Zalizne, Pivnichne, and Chasiv Yar. The occupiers do not stop trying to capture Stelmakhivka, Makiyivka, attack our positions in Ivanivske, Klishchiyivka, are trying to capture the islands of the floodplain of the left bank of the Dnieper River," he said.
According to him, in fact, active combat operations of varying intensity are taking place along the entire front.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, commenting on media reports about the withdrawal from Krynky in the Kherson Region, noted that the situation is not so critical.
